I recently heard an ad for Subway new crispy chicken sandwiches. My favourite sandwich to get there is the Oven Roasted Chicken, so I was curious to see how the crispy chicken would match up. I decided instead of just getting what I would normally get on a chicken sandwich, I would try the Chicken Parmigiana.
Looked kinda flat without any other toppings inside, but I don’t normally see lettuce and onions on a regular chicken parmigiana sandwich.
Something didn’t look quite right about the chicken breading. It looked mushy. I hate when crispy chicken is mushy.
I sunk my teeth in and indeed, it wasn’t crispy. I wouldn’t go so far as to call it mushy, but it was soft. The cheese and sauce were okay, but the overall sandwich was disappointing. And then when I got to the centre, the chicken was cold. That was gross and off-putting. I honestly didn’t want to finish the rest of the sandwich after that.
Not only was this not as good as the Oven Roasted Chicken, but it was also more expensive. Nothing here for me to recommend.
